Program Synopsis –Human Resource Management
The globalization of the world economies have rendered many competitive
advantages redundant as
companies are able to relocate at will across the globe. The only enduring
advantage that a company
has, is it’s human resources. More and more companies are finding it difficult
to manage their work
force due to intense competition from around the world for the best staff.
Therefore it is imperative
that companies strengthen their Human Resources Management capabilities or risk
losing their best
staff. This unit will introduces the student to the world of human resources
management with
emphasis on providing basic human resources concepts and knowledge as well as
preparing the
ground work for more specialized topics later. This unit is a core compulsory
unit and is available
via distant learning and classroom training.
Target Participants
This Diploma Program is targeted at managers, professional, business owners,
consultant or anyone
involved in the process on improving human resources management in their
company. Diploma holders will then be able us the diploma for advance standing
in certain universities for admission in their post graduate degrees or MBAs.

records of such emails will be considered as learning evidence as well. Students
may use internet
chat software for additional consultations with the tutor but such interaction
will not be used when
qualitative assessment is required in case of borderline passes or failure.
